Affiliates in depth

Affiliates sell on your behalf through a dedicated portal. Affiliate providers extend that model across many wineries via portfolio links — setup, provisioning, and reporting without sharing Commerce7 admin credentials.

Invite affiliates & open the portal

Affiliates are sales partners who place orders on behalf of customers. Send a secure email invite; they set a password and land in their own portal — separate from your winery admin.

  • Create affiliate profiles and send branded invite emails (managed Email Plan or your SendGrid)
  • Affiliates log in at the affiliate portal to select their winery client
  • Add customers, build carts, and submit orders that flow into Commerce7
  • Affiliates see their customers, orders, and performance without C7 admin access
One invite link per affiliate. They only see wineries and data you provision for them.

Winery setup for affiliate selling

Before affiliates can sell, the winery owner configures catalog scope, inventory locations, and cart defaults in Neighborly settings. This controls which products appear in affiliate order taking and how carts are stamped in Commerce7.

  • Choose all products or a specific collection affiliates may sell
  • Pick inventory locations that count toward available quantity
  • Set the Commerce7 sales channel stamped on affiliate carts (defaults to Inbound)
  • Optional default sales associate UUID when none is set on the invite
Settings live under Neighborly admin. Affiliates inherit these rules automatically.

Affiliate providers & portfolio links

Affiliate providers (APs) — such as regional sales organizations — connect to multiple wineries through Neighborly’s portfolio marketplace. Wineries browse providers, request links, and approve connections without giving AP staff access to every Commerce7 tenant.

  • AP brands list on the marketplace; wineries browse and request portfolio links
  • Winery owners approve or reject link requests from their portfolio dashboard
  • When a link is active, Neighborly provisions affiliate rows on the winery tenant automatically
  • AP users switch between linked wineries from Select client in the affiliate portal
Provisioned affiliates show a Portfolio badge. APs see consolidated metrics across linked wineries.

AP & winery dashboards

Wineries manage affiliates and review attributed net sales in the Neighborly admin. Affiliate providers get a portfolio dashboard with rollup metrics across every linked winery — one login, many clients.
