Getting started
How Neighborly works
From install to first referral coupon, here is the path most wineries follow — requirements, billing, the setup wizard, and everyday admin work.
What you need
Neighborly connects to your existing CRM so you can track referrals and affiliates without replacing your stack. Most wineries are up and running in an afternoon.
- Commerce7 or Shopify store (Commerce7 supports full referral + affiliate features; Shopify currently supports referrers today)
- Store owner or admin access to install the app and complete billing
- For affiliate order taking: products and inventory locations configured in Commerce7
- For affiliate order taking: an email provider for branded invites and order confirmations
Neighborly install and plans
Install Neighborly from your CRM app directory. Type "yno" in the search bar to find it. Choose Neighborly Standard ($25/mo) from the Neighborly admin app or create a an account at neighborly.wine. You can add the $15/mo Email Plan anytime from settings.
- Install app: install from you Commerce7 or Shopify app directory
- Payment plans: choose Standard and Email Plan and complete Checkout directly in CRM admin (or create an account at neighborly.wine)
- Secure checkout: Stripe Checkout handles subscription billing securely through Yno Software
- After payment, Neighborly will take you to the setup wizard
First-time setup wizard
Before the main dashboard unlocks, owners complete a short checklist. Each step links directly to the settings you need — no hunting through menus.
- Email provider — managed email (Email Plan) or connect your SendGrid account
- Email templates — upload your brand header image for order confirmations and invites
- Product & inventory — choose catalog scope, inventory locations, sales channel, and default associate
- Affiliate provider (AP) connection — request a portfolio link or confirm you are not using an AP
Day-to-day use
Once setup is complete, Neighborly tracks every sale from your CRM, comparing referred and non-referred sales over time. Your dashboard is a "quick look" at your referral and affiliate programs.
- Dashboard — sales charts, top referrers/affiliates, and period comparisons
- Referrers — create profiles, issue coupons, and track referred customer lifetime value
- Affiliates — invite partners, share portal links, and review commission attribution
- Portfolio (Commerce7) — affiliate providers and wineries browse, link, and provision affiliates across tenants
